Blueline Contracting builds some of the most striking custom homes in the Sea to Sky corridor — but their website wasn’t doing that work justice. Built on a pre-packaged WordPress theme stacked with third-party plugins, the site had two compounding problems: it was slow, and it was vulnerable.

The theme and several of its plugins hadn’t been updated in years. In WordPress, that’s not just a performance issue — it’s an open door. Unmaintained plugins are one of the most common backend entry points for attackers, and Blueline’s stack had exactly the kind of exposure that leads to real breaches: outdated code sitting quietly in the backend, unpatched and unmonitored.

Blueline came to us wanting to stay on WordPress for its familiarity and content management strength, but they needed a version of their site that looked and performed like a custom platform — without the plugin-dependency risk hanging over it.
